John Canty has been an extremely reliable professional in all ways while working on my home. We had major interior and exterior damage following the ice storm in central Massachusetts several years ago. He was more than willing to meet with insurance adjusters on several occasions and did not budge on his recommendations as to the BEST way to address repairs. Without John's advocacy I believe the insurance company would have covered repairs that were less than adequate in the long run. The quality of the work John did was exactly what we were looking for.
Previously, I have had two major renovations to my house over the last ten years. I regret that John Canty was NOT the contractor for either of these renovations. Both projects became problematic. Cost overruns were the norm and timelines went out the window .Neither my wife nor I were left with a reasonable level of satisfaction.
With regards to someone considering to employ Canty Brothers Construction, I can confidently offer this: John does WHAT he says and WHEN he says in a craftsman-like and professional manner and to a customer’s complete satisfaction. Anyone who has worked with people in John’s profession know the true value in that.

Canty Brothers Construction came very highly recommended and after meeting John Canty, I hired his company to finish the basement in my house. I knew I made the right choice from day one. Each day they were at my house, John and his team were nothing short of professional, prompt, clean and courteous. John has a keen eye for detail, had a clear answer for every question I asked, made smart suggestions (without being "pushy") and stayed within budget without cutting corners. His experience is apparent.
The result was far better than imagined or expected and the job was completed ahead of schedule. My house is less than three years old, and I recently had it appraised. Without having any other construction work done, the value of my property went up significantly which, in this market, is fantastic. I'm sure my beautifully-finished basement had a lot to do with that.
Canty Brothers Construction is the only company I'll call on for any project on my house and the only company I would ever recommend.

Canty Brothers built a two story addition to the rear of our house. We expanded our kitchen and master bath as well as added an office. We were very anxious about this project as we had previously had bad experiences. John and Canty Brothers were fantastic at every stage of the process. John listened to what we wanted and gave us excellent design ideas and suggestions. All calls were answered promptly before, during, and after our project was completed. Everyone associated with the project were professional, respectful, and neat. All of the work was top quality at every stage.
